《Section 3.4. The President: The President is the Chief Executive Officer of the TJMCOAA.
3.4.1. 1. Personal qualification. The President must have demonstrated a high moral standard and integrity, be willing to serve and contribute to the Association, and place the interest of the Association above his/her own.
188.8.131.52. Experience qualification. Presidential candidates must have served on the Board for at least two years before eligible for the election. All presidential candidates are required to provide a detailed self-introduction to all members of the Association.
184.108.40.206. Executive qualification. A President candidate must have a proven track-record of leadership, and provide a detailed term plan to the Board and the Board of Trustees for the consideration of the position.
3.4.2. Term and Election. The term of the President shall be two years, starting on January 1st and ending on December 31st of the next year.
220.127.116.11. Election time. The election shall be held once every other year, from December 15th to 25th of the calendar year of election.
18.104.22.168. Election committee. A three-member election committee shall be formed each year. This shall include the one of the Board of Trustees and two other TJMCOAA members jointly appointed by the President, and approved by the Board of Trustees. The tasks of the election committee are to verify the qualifications of the candidates, tally the votes, and announce the results. The election committee should be formed on December 1st of each election year.
22.214.171.124. Nomination. The nomination shall only be submitted to all three election committee members by email, not to the general alumni. The three election committee members’ email addresses will be announced as soon as the committee is formed. Each TJMCOAA member can nominate one candidate, including him- or herself, with a brief statement of the reasons of nomination. The nomination for president starts on December 1st, the deadline for nomination is December 10th.
126.96.36.199. Final Candidates. The two qualified candidates who have received the highest number of nominations shall be eligible for the general vote. The names of the final two president-elect candidates shall be announced on December 15th of each year.
188.8.131.52. Voting. Voting shall start once the final two candidates are announced. All the votes shall be sent to all three Election Committee members. The deadline for voting shall be the midnight of December 25. The results of the election shall be announced on the New Year's Day of the following year by the head of the election committee.
184.108.40.206. President-Elect. The candidate who has received fifty-one percent (51%) or more of the casted votes shall become the President-Elect whose presidency shall begin the day after the current President’s term.》
